In this time of Covid 19...
When you first discovered you were pregnant, I know you never envisioned how our world would change by the end of your pregnancy. The common events of late pregnancy such as taking a childbirth class, having a celebration/baby shower or even something as small as dashing to grocery store for a craving are no longer the normal events. Who could have imagined that you would be working from home or unemployed or your job would be listed as "essential" and you would be worried about your exposure to this virus.
So I am offering this childbirth express class especially for you. I think it is still important to be connected with other pregnant people and work with your labor support partner. It's helpful to filter all that information that is overwhelming online whether it's about what's vital to have in your labor bag, how can you stay home as long as possible in early labor, what your options are in regards to pain relief, partner support strategies or how to confidently breastfeed your baby in the first hour.
I am an active childbirth educator at Island Hospital, Skagit Valley Hospital and Cascade Valley Hospital. Face to face classes have been postponed.
This will be a "flipped classroom experience" so I will provide you with things to do outside of our time together. These will be available in a google classroom, so must have a google email address. Don't worry if you don't have one - they are free and it only takes a couple minutes.
